An armlet is a fabric or oilcloth half-sleeve cover worn over the sleeves of clothing to protect them from dirt. In the USSR, fabric armlets were made in three sizes from plain-dyed dark calico, satin and double-thread, with an elastic band at the top and a cuff with a slit or elastic bands on both sides at the bottom.
